Dear Plantation Park Elementary Families,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year!

It is with tremendous excitement, gratitude, and pride that I welcome you to Plantation Park Elementary School as your new principal. After serving as an elementary school principal in Broward County Public Schools for the past nineteen years, I am honored to join the Plantation Park community and begin this exciting new chapter together.

At Plantation Park Elementary, we are committed to providing every student with a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where they can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. As we embark on a new school year, our theme is:

Game On! Leveling Up Our Learning at PPE

This theme reflects our commitment to continuous growth, perseverance, and achievement. Just as players advance through levels in a game, our students will be encouraged to take on challenges, build new skills, and reach new levels of success throughout the year.

As we prepare to welcome our students back to campus, we have much to celebrate. During the 2025–2026 school year, Plantation Park Elementary achieved remarkable success, including:

• Earning an "A" School Grade
• Increasing ELA Achievement by 3 percentage points
• Achieving 67% Proficiency in Mathematics
• Achieving 70% Proficiency in Science

These accomplishments reflect the dedication of our students, staff, families, and community partners. Together, we will build upon this strong foundation and continue striving for excellence.

Education has been my life's passion. I earned a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University and both my Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Elementary Education from the University of Florida. Throughout my career, I have served as an elementary teacher in Miami-Dade County Public Schools, an assistant principal in Broward County Public Schools, and an elementary school principal.

Family is at the heart of who I am. My wife is an elementary school teacher in Broward County Public Schools. Our son graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Computer Science Engineering, gained experience with a start-up edtech company, teaches AP Computer Science at the high school level and lives in South Florida. Our daughter graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Industrial Engineering and works in South Florida.

I firmly believe that strong schools are built through strong partnerships. I look forward to working closely with our students, families, PTA, staff, community members, and Partners in Education to ensure every child reaches their fullest potential. Whether you are returning OWL to Plantation Park Elementary or joining us for the first time, please know that you are an important part of our school family.
